Yadadarcyyada: I’m Hooked on a Feeling

Hooked on a feeling from Donna aka yadadarcyyada!

1blog15I can’t fight this feeling, deep inside of me, I’m hooked on a feeling…blogging, you don’t know what you do to me.

I’m not entirely sure how many posts about blogging advice I’ve read in the past couple of years. Some posts were extremely helpful, others decidedly unhelpful, many didn’t pertain to me, and others gibberish. So here’s my best blogging advice that will most certainly change the way you blog forever!

1. Have a blog.

2.Write posts that are 300 words to whatever-your-readers-think-isn’t-too-long. Think of each post as a summer hat, you want it to cover your face and neck, but you don’t want to be the one with thatRoyal Wedding hat.1blog21
3. Add pictures and images to your posts. There are many ways to do this – take photos, make memes, scan, find, paint, draw…and please credit them, if possible.

4.Publish the post –…

One Lovely Blog Award…Thank you!

One Lovely Blog AwardI would like to thank Charles Ray‘s fantastic book review blog and also everyone that takes the time to read my blog.  I am very honored to be nominated for this award that I will proudly display on my site.

Now I reveal 7 things about myself you may or may not have known.

1.  I wrote my first novel in High School.  Chapters were sold for $0.25 cents each…It kept my car in gas.

2.  My favorite book is “Peck’s Bad Boy and his Pa“.

3.  When my son and daughter were born, I was in the room watching.

4.  I have the honor of being married to the same woman for forty-five years.  If I had to do it again, I would in a heartbeat.

5.  My first published novel, “The Wolf’s Moon” was written in longhand and took about a year or so to finish.

6.  I love to watch nature, watching flowers grow in one of our many gardens.  Sitting in the room where I write I watch the animals drink from the creek.

7.  Most of all, I love working with my wife each day, meeting all of the wonderful people around the world and reading their thoughts in blogging.

Oh yeah, did I mention anything about woodworking?  No?  Well, maybe next time.

Charles Ray: A Blog Award

Wow…humbled by the nomination by Charles Ray for The Lovely Blog Award. Thank you so very much!

Charles Ray's Ramblings

one-lovely-blog-award-e1447361998422I don’t normally pay a lot of attention to blog awards–too busy blogging, book reviewing, and writing–but, I have to stop and say thanks to Anatomy of Perceval for One Lovely Blog Award. I’m really not sure what I did to deserve it, but it’s always nice to learn that there are actually people out there who read what I write.

So, having that out of the way, I’ll follow the rules for this award.

7 Interesting Facts About Myself

I’ve been writing since I was about 12 or 13 – got my first short story published in a national magazine back then.

I have a short attention span, and get bored easily, so I write and read in a lot of genres.

My first full-length work of fiction took eight years to write–but, now I finish a book of 60,000 words in about a month.

Michael’s Origins: What Blogging Should Be About

Great points for gaining insight into the art of blogging!

Michael Rios

I have  written several articles on blogging over the past couple of weeks. Two of the prominent ones are, HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR BLOG! and BUSINESS OR HOBBY | HOW TO BECOME A FAMOUS BLOGGER.

So today, I thought I would highlight the most important ones with my own unique spin or flare if you will.  So, let’s get to it! The one item that I will put on top of all is,

don’t be a selfish stuck-up pretentious so and so. Blogging should be a fun, sharing resources, networking together providing a relaxed inviting environment. Have you ever had that one supervisor or Manager that reminded you of the above statement? Don’t be that person.

Content! Let’s face it this is the king of them all. This should shine like a polished diamond. Another analogy would be like eating one of Chef Gordan Ramsey’s dishes. That’s…
