Thanks Chris, for answering my 20 questions!

  1. You say you’re not an author, but have you ever thought of writing a short story, poem or novel?

Lands of Exile: BUT ‘N’ BEN by Stuart France and Sue Vincent NEW RELEASE!!

3 (2)“You are creating an alternative history/architecture/folklore guide to Great Britain…” Comments, Daily Echo.

1“If stones are their thing and they undoubtedly are, then they really should have been here,” he said shaking his head forlornly.
The two of them had just spent the best part of three hours scrolling through the Govan stone museum security footage and had drawn a definitive blank.
“Maybe they don’t plan anything,” said Kraas, brightening somewhat at the thought.
“Don’t plan anything?” said Jaw-Dark as if she was talking in a foreign tongue. “So how’d they find all the other stones then..?”
“Maybe they were guided.”
“By what?”
“I don’t know,” said Kraas. “The spirit of stones or something…”

When Ben is arrested for his part in Wen’s daring scheme to re-site a standing stone, Don and Wen head north, unaware that they are being followed by the police and a mysterious shadow they call the Black Shade.

Join them as they are led by enigmatic carvings through the countryside of England and Scotland, seeking to unravel the ancient mysteries of the stones…

Lands of Exile: BUT ‘N’ BEN

New release!

images (5)16For once, Don was right… it was all Wen’s fault.
If only Ben had not insisted in going back for the gun…
Don and Wen should hand themselves in and share the fate of their co-conspirator. It would be the noble thing to do.
Does this course of action appeal to our errant duo?
Not on your Nelly!
As Ben languishes in the dank cells of Bakewell Gaol, Don and Wen hit the road. Their headlong dash for freedom takes them north, where they are beset by a host of ‘Orphan Stones’ clamouring to be led back home.
But they are not alone… and the sinister Black Shade is not the only thing dogging their heels as they blaze their unorthodox trail through the signs, seals and sacred sites of old Albion…

stuart franceAbout the authors:
The writing partnership of France and Vincent has a peculiar alchemy of humour, scholarship and vision that has given birth to several books, including the Triad of Albion and Doomsday series. But ‘n’ Ben is the first book of the Lands of Exile. The second book in the series, Bean Sidhe, is due for release in spring 2016.prof pic

France and Vincent share a love of lore and land; together they explore the mysteries of the ancient hills and sacred places of Britain. They may occasionally be observed in one of the many old inns they stumble upon, talking over their adventures. Or throwing tennis balls for an insatiable small dog.
