  1. Only books that are in the KDP Select programme are available in Unlimited. If you publish anywhere else, and therefore not in KDP Select, your books aren’t available through Unlimited. Also, I imagine that all books traditionally published won’t be there either, unless they have a different deal with publishers. Mine aren’t because I publish with other people too.

    1. Thanks Olga! I wasn’t quite sure how it worked with Inese’s question because I just do exclusive Amazon, but good information from those who do various platforms. Thanks so very much! Have a great day Olga 🙂

  2. I am not using Unlimited… Should I? I wonder if all books are available in Unlimited. For some reason I think they are not, and it is why I am buying them separately even though It costs me more.

    1. Well…I think most are free…there is a limitation though and I am not sure what it is? I know with Amazon Prime you get 1 free book per month…I will have to look it up and get back to you! I know in the US Kindle Unlimited is $9.99 per month but you can borrow a lot…maybe I have one of Chris’ other posts to describe it. Will get back to you!!

      1. Thank you for the link. I was curious to learn how it works for writers, and now I know 🙂 If I read just 11% and it means a purchase for the author, it is great isn’t it… Would they pay you more if I read all 100%? All these questions are concerning the authors – I just want to figure out which way is better for you guys. I won’t read more than I already do, even if it is for free 🙂

      2. There is a good conversation from Olga about what books are available on Kindle Unlimited (Only books that are in the KDP Select programme are available in Unlimited. If you publish anywhere else, and therefore not in KDP Select, your books aren’t available through Unlimited. Also, I imagine that all books traditionally published won’t be there either, unless they have a different deal with publishers. Mine aren’t because I publish with other people too.) See below from Olga…hope this helps!

      3. And yes…the author would get paid more for every page you read. Forgot to answer that! But make sure to read Olga’s content about it because her books wouldn’t be available because she is not exclusive to Amazon KDP Select program and thus not listed under Kindle Unlimited…interesting.

      4. You know…it is probably cheaper because Kindle Unlimited is $9.99 per month and Amazon Prime is about the same…but you get some great shipping benefits from Amazon Prime too and other perks…I will look for an article from Chris about Kindle Unlimited vs Amazon Prime for the customer and post a blog about it. Give me a couple of days!! Actually if you follow Digital Book Today by Anthony Wessel…every day he has a list of the Top 100 Free Kindle Books on Amazon and you just do the Kindle for PC download on your computer (or app like my son does for his iPad) and then you click on the book and it takes you to the book page…I always check though because the screen can be confusing…plus they email you with the receipt for $0.00. Here is the link for Digital Book Today http://digitalbooktoday.com/free-kindle-books-amazon/
